The Route Printer Series from Symbol Technologies is a portable, full-page dot matrix printer that is rugged
enough to be used in the cab of a truck, or carried into a remote receiving area.
The RP 1000 and RP 2000 accommodate the PDT 8000 and monochrome/color versions of the PDT 8100.
Both versions feature an intelligent cradle that allows the terminal to communicate with the printer as well as
charge the batteries. The RP 2000 with Spectrum 24® Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) or Bluetooth™
Wireless Personal Area Network (WPAN) enables the printing of receipts and invoices wherever they are needed. The features of
this one-piece printing solution include:
- Paper capacity up to 200 continuous sheets of 8.5 in. x 11 in. paper
- Ability to print 4-part delivery receipts and invoices
- Unique paper feed design literally eliminates paper jams

The printer automatically wakes up upon receipt of data and returns to sleep mode after printing, ensuring maximum battery life.
INVESTMENT PROTECTION
Printer fonts and the operating system are stored in Flash memory, so upgrading using the office PC is easy. The RP Series speaks
your language-any language. In cooperation with BitStream© fonts, any international character set can be added. This ensures that
the RP Series printers can meet your language needs today-and tomorrow.
WIRELESS LAN CONNECTIVITY
The RP 2000 with Spectrum24® features WLAN communications, providing field personnel with wireless point-to-point
communication in the field, as well as the ability to synchronize with the WLAN and balance end-of-day summary trips. Information
is rapidly transmitted wirelessly, eliminating the line up in the settlement room.
SUPPORT FOR SYMBOL AIRBEAM®
The RP 2000 with Spectrum24® support the AirBEAM client management solution, offering comprehensive application distribution
and version control for mobile and fixed computing devices and now printing solutions on a wireless local area network (WLAN).
Utilizing a server-based deployment model to centrally control software and configuration information of client devices, AirBEAM
provides automatic detection and updates of application and system-level software resident in each client. AirBEAM eliminates the
need to manually track and apply software revisions.
